Pom poms-they're not just for hats anymore!

If you haven't heard, pom poms are definitely back, and by the looks of this particular piece of artwork, they're back in a REALLY BIG way! Eleanor Davies, created this gigantic pom by using wood, rope, newspaper, and of course, lots of yarn. On a much smaller scale, there are actually many different ways you can make this nostalgic craft, from simply wrapping yarn around some cardboard, to using beautifully decorated wood spindles. Over this last year, I've made some pom poms of my very own--everything from bookmarks and magnets, to a rainbow inspired garland. The pom makers that I use(and really like), is this set by Clover. They are super easy to use! And, if you need some creative inspiration, you can subscribe to Pom Makers, "Friday Pomspiration" newsletter, to check out all the fun and unique pom projects that you can make of your very own too!
