The painting pictured above, The Journey of Humanity, was created by Sacha Jafri(shown standing in a section of the painting)during the global pandemic of 2020. It recently set a world record for being the largest painting ever created on canvas in the world. Created over several months, in 70 different segments, it measures in at just slightly above a whopping 17,000 feet of canvas. The painting also includes children's artwork from 140 different countries around the world, which were carefully pasted onto the canvas. The painting is an abstract mix of various shapes and paint splatters, mixed in with the children's artwork. Sacha worked on it for about 8 months, sometimes for up to 20 hours a day. The artists original intent was to auction off the separate pieces of the painting, but it ended up being sold as one complete artwork for 62 million dollars! Yes, you did read that correctly. The money went to a variety of different world-wide charities, some of which include, UNICEF, UNESCO, and the Global Gift Foundation.
